Lake Larsson is a member of Tinder Hearth at the Valley of the Stars Farm. She is a veteran blues musician, as well as an avid gardener. Lake has made her home in Maine for the past 25 years. After traveling and performing as a bandleader, singer, and bass player with blues luminaries such as Pine Top Perkins, Bo Didley, Shirley Lewis and others, Lake returned to school. She graduated from the University of Maine with a BA degree in Communications. Lake went on to work in the Portland Public school system as an Apple tech specialist and computer trainer. While on a business trip to Kauai, Lake fell in love with the Ukulele. Realizing it was such a great instrument for “want-to-be musicians,” Lake formed the Mainely Ukulele club and is now encouraging people to learn the ukulele in her beginner series.
